If I open an account at Barclay's in Islamabad, Pakistan, and then go to the university in the USA, is my account valid to operate in the USA as much as it was in Islamabad? Further, can I accept funds from donors to this same account but list the bank as in the USA. American banks will not allow us to open an account unless we are physically present in the USA. This will not work when a graduate student is receiving donations from persons, corporation, foundations that must be deposited in the USA. Will my opening a Barclay's account in Islamabad, Pakistan be honored in the same way in the USA for deposits by others including myself and withdrawals without my going to the USA to open the account?
