Dr Azam Ali's Ophthalmology Clinic, Karachi

I have been to Dr. Azam's clinic for my cataract operation. Even though I live abroad I came here as the medical care is excellent. My cataract operation was complicated but it went very smoothly. When I returned home and went for a routine check up months later the doctor was most impressed with the operation. Since then I have recommended Dr. Azam to many of my friends and relatives.

I am a patient with cataracts who wwent ot dr azam ali khan. he was super with excellent results and I didnt even know I was being operated. he takes only 1.5 min for the surgery. he was just talking to me and before I knew it the operation was done. they say he has a record in guiness boook. he is also very smart and handsome with a good attitude towards patients I give him full marks as a doctor and human

I am also an old patient who used to complain a lot about the waiting times in his clinics but over the ten years that I have been coming to him I have ended up admiring dr azam for his patience and perseverance day after day. he works the longest hours and even at the end of the day meets us cheerfully. he is particularly kind to old folks like me and he even calls me aunty which is very sweeet of him. I heard he is thinking of leaving the country, which will be a great loss to the nation. I wish he doesnt leave us.

anywhere else in t world the hospital management would have ensured that the doctor and his patients are well looked after.

My father had the problem regarding ratina detachment. I took him to Dr. Azam for checkup, he sugested that it needs to be operated ASAP and on our request, he operated it on the same day (even after his regular shift). The MAN is not only a great doctor but a great livly person too who understands and empathise with patients. If u have any problem regarding eye, i suggest u not to take it lightly and consult with him immidiatly.

I am his old patient and went for followup at LNH. He is the same there as he was at aku. The staff at LNH seems to be in panic handling so many of his patients. But they are trying hard. They have redesigned the whole opd to accommodate his patients. Ultimately it will be better than aku. Because here they care for patients not money.

He is one of the worse experience doctor as far as I know he operated my sister in 2002 and he massed up her eye after operation and he kept telling lies that she will be fine just keep her on medication we keep her on medication but nothing changed I visited him today to have her checkup to see where is her eyes. Are today but the way he treated the patient was really unprofessional and he look like buther who is treating an animal not a human been he showed me attitude and refuse to see the patient not any more further and after he refuse to give me detail report of this checkup that he done after I complain to liaqat nation department and they issued me with a report and I m gonna taking this doctor to the court to see and prove there is a law works in this country

Only one chaudhry sahab has criticised Dr. Azam in very rude manner. He is international qualified and the best eye doc in pakistan. He does the best for his patients and even prays for them. He said special prayers before starting operations when I got operat d. Some people specially doctors very jeolous of him and say bad things. A doctor should do his best. He is not God. He sees most difficult cases in the country and not every patient can get better. Most doctors refuse difficult patients especially in aku and south city hospital. If someone takes challenging cases we should appreciate. I have referred hundreds of my family and friends and they also done so and all satisfied. I like him like my son and get angry when people treat good doctors badly. He can also leave country if he wants I know he has been offered jobs in uk and Usa. Also lots of patients from doctors in usa and uk are referred to him. Why do want him to leave. We should treasure doctors like him.

In 2007 l had a flash in my left eye. Next day my eye Doctor told not to worry. Third day, my vision developed a shadow and another surgeon noticed a tear in the Retina but advised to go for a surgery at my convinience.

Doctor diagnosed Nasolacrimal duct obstruction blocked tear duct. Dacrocytes infection of tear duct. Dacryocystorhinostomy :surgery to bypass the blocked and or infect tear duct. since last two months my eye was normal without any infection but again above explained problem has occurred. please confirm that the above surgery is performed yourself . how much time takes for surgery and time for full recovery. what will be the total pre/post charges with follow up visits etc etc. Will appreciate your response with details.
