Ratan Cinema, Lahore

this cinema was associated with a very dear family friend Chaudhry Eid Mohammed Saheb who was a regular visitor to AJmer sharif and stayed with us during my childhood......a great man i would like to get in touch with any member of his family..

Hazrat Syed Farid Maharaj,AOA. It gives me great pleasure to know that you remember my grandfather with such fondness and affection.Surely as long as he had the physical strength he was a regular visitor to Ajmer Sharif and always held his friendships dear to his heart. Sir although he is no more with us I can assure you that whenever his friends come to Pakistan I will try to match the hospitality extended to them by my grandfather. Let me briefly introduce myself to you,I am son of CHAUDHRY ABDUL GHANI, the eldest son of CHAUDHRY EID MUHAMMAD,who is very much with us but due to old age he is unable to move around. Chaudhry Eid Muhammad sahib (RIP) was a Darwaish like person. He owned many cinemas. He was also a political personality and was BD member in Gen. Ayub Khan regime. My father Pervaiz Butt is friend of his late son Chaudhry Muhammad Ishaq (RIP). My father was like a son of great Chaudhry Eid Muhammad Sahib. My best regards for his whole family *****

Hi, my name is Neha, an architecture masters student from University College London. I am doing writing an essay on revival of Cinema buildings in Lahore for one of my module. I have chosen Ratan Cinema as one of my case study and I asked few of my friends to photograph the building for me as its not possible for me to come to Pakistan currently. I am very much interested in getting a few clicks of its interior. My friends found the building and gate locked, so they couldnt get in. If any one of you has access to this building please write back to me as soon as possible. I am interested to know about the future of this building. I learned about it going into auction but its been abandoned for quite a time.
