..My New School.. Ithink it was more than a school for me..I joined in class 1st standard(class Three)in nineteen fifty two, DEC..as we were residing in G Block in Model Town,ileft convent of Jesus and Mary and got admitted here...our principle was Miss Stratford..i had such a beautiful time..my class mates were,Zeba Bazmi,Navaid Bazmi,sabiha Feroz,Cybil Lewis,Veronica,aitizaz Bukhari,Saeed Zafar,Sikander Hayat,Khalida Khalid,Talat Iqbal,Farida Fazal,Rehana Mehar,Zulfiqar,Abdussalam,ASHRAF,Shamim...MY school was a institution for me,which taught me to lead a decent life with morals ,taught by my teachers..They were Great.Thanks to them for my TODAY..

Leenah maria Stratford principal of new school is buried in gora graveyard jail road Lahore and no body knew where she was buried and her grave was almost deteriorated with the passage of time and it was not visible and after a lot of hard efforts I found her grave and repaired it now you can visit her grave and pay respect as your principal .I have also newspaper cutting of her death , She died 26th may she was in my neighbourhood D block model town we used to enjoy pushing her car when it stopped on model town inner round it was morris model , I think this information is enough for reader if you need any other information feel free to email me ( )

@6.Akhlaq Ali Khan: Well done sir.I wish i could have helped you with a very noble cause(repairing our ex principal grave).You said you never attended the new school,yet you did what ex students cudnt do.I got admitted in the new school KG in 1953 and did my matric in 1965.Was an army officer from 1969 to 1979.Resided in Newyork from 1980 to 1990.Brought my son and two daughters (US born) to pakistan ,in a hope to settle them here,but failed as we had to remigrate to canada in 2000.While i was in pakistan i designed/fabricated bullet proof limousines(first ever in pakistan).A fun adventure,recognised at the highest level,by (then) PM nawaz sharif.My son has done dual degree and is an investment banker.one daughter is PHD,teaching at a university and the other daughter ,a medical doctor specialising in eye surgury.

I had attended the New School in Model town from 1962-1965 class 3 to classs 6 left the country in June 1965. continued schooling in Africa and finally finsihed high school in Maryland USA as well as my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I had returned to Pakistan in 1980 and now am getting ready to retire. I am keen to learn more about the founder of New School Ms Stratford and her life. I was a student at The New school and my memories of Miss Stradford very vague but what I learnt from her is written on my heart .When on her daily rounds ,she would stop by our class and recite a poetic riddle!that riddle is the moto of my life !I run a school in Karachi and to pay homage other memory I have just named one of the Auditorium "Stradford Hall ".

It was a finishing school!I learnt the most important lesson n my life from Miss Stradford!I feel obligated to for finding her grave an repairing it!

I went to New School in 1980/1981, had just returned from States and finished 10th grade from this school. Many good memories but lost in touch with everyone because returned back to States after finishing BA from Govt. College. Woul love to hear back from someone? Thanks.

I used to live in A-block & started from kg and did my matric in 1973,i remember Ms.Stratford and Ali her assistant,Habib the bell boy,aya and mali,we had cooking and knitting classes every friday,what a treat institution! and marvellous teachers in those days Mrs.Lewis,Ms.Yasin,Ms.Minya,Master Bashir, ustani jee to name a few..may Allah bless them all.

Studied in The New School from 1956-1961.
